NO TOOLS REQUIRED

STEP #1 PROJECT SITE

Choose a project site with a flat and solid surface. Tile, low pile carpet, cement or wood floor is
necessary. The area must be dry and remain at room temperature. The area must be available for 24
hours after completion to allow glue to dry.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MOVE GLUED PROJECT FOR 24 HOURS!

STEP #2 BASE ASSEMBLY

The first course of any creation project is the most important.
Arrange the required amount of blocks for your base on a DRY and FLAT surface. Make sure the base
has the exact amount of blocks as the project you selected. (REFER TO PROJECT BASE GUIDE)

STEP #3 SECOND COURSE

Glue the second course to base blocks, making sure the blocks are offset and interlock to base. Apply
glue only to top of base block.

STEP #4 REPEAT

Repeat Step #2 for remaining courses.

STEP #5 “LONG BLOCK”

If project includes “long blocks”, glue to finish the project. Apply glue to all sides of “long block” that
connect with lower course blocks.

STEP #6 DRY

Allow glued project to dry overnight.

BASIC ASSEMBLY PRINCIPLES:

Check the width of the base on stool and bench projects with a “long block”. This will insure your
project is square and ensure the “long blocks” will interlock and complete the project.
If creating a bench, keep in mind the “long blocks” are designed to fit over 3.5 blocks. Bench and stool
projects are always 3.5 blocks wide.
Helpful Group Project Tip:
If possible, allow adults or older students to construct the first two courses (steps 1&2) of the project
and allow glue to dry overnight. Allow younger supporters to finish remaining courses.
